More Than a Performance

Sounds of the Season is the inaugural performance of a larger community youth music initiative created by EIEIOP in partnership with Jandr Music.

Our vision is to create an accessible space outside of the traditional school setting where young people can discover and develop their musical abilities, learn from experienced musicians and instructors, rehearse alongside their peers, and experience the confidence and discipline that come from preparing for a live performance.

The Christmas celebration is our first stage—but the vision extends beyond one night. We are building a program where music becomes a pathway for creativity, mentorship, confidence, connection, and community.

Who Can Participate?

Young Musicians. Singers. Beginners. Developing Artists.

We are seeking young people ages 8–18 who are interested in singing, playing an instrument, developing their musical abilities, or becoming part of an ensemble.

Participants may be considered for:

Youth Choir • Strings • Woodwinds • Brass • Percussion • Piano/Keyboard • Guitar • Bass • Featured Vocalists & Instrumentalists

Previous formal music training is not required for all participants. Beginners are encouraged to express interest. Students with previous musical experience are also welcome and may be placed according to their current skill level and performance readiness.

Participants should be prepared to attend after-school and/or weekend rehearsals, practice assigned music outside of rehearsal, work respectfully with instructors and fellow musicians, and participate consistently as the ensemble prepares for the Christmas performance.

Final rehearsal schedules and ensemble placement will be determined based on enrollment, instrumentation, instructor availability, and each student's developmental needs.
